Hello! Just a quick update today, as I’m working hard to get Space Team book 4 finished, while simultaneously working on the second in a new series of kids books which come out later this year.
In case you’re not aware, the first Space Team book is now available in audio format from Audible. The narrator – the amazing Phil Thron – brings a whole new life to the book with his interpretation of the characters, to the extent that even I was laughing my head off, and I’ve heard all the jokes before. If that’s not testimony to Phil’s skills, I don’t know what is.
The good news is, if you’re not currently an Audible member, you can get Space Team free as part of your 30 day trial. Just cancel before the trail expires and, voila, the book is yours without having to pay a single penny. Good, huh?

Yes! They’ll all be in audiobook format eventually. Phil, the rather brilliant narrator of book one, has been tied up with some other projects, but will be starting work on book two very soon.
I have to say that I am chomping at the bit, waiting for the next audio Space team. Do you have plans for the Dan Deadman books too?
Hey Paul. Book six is in production at the minute and will be out early in 2018. Then Phil is doing the first Dan Deadman before jumping back into Space Team 7. All the books will be getting the audio treatment, and we’re rapidly catching up to the point they’ll almost be coming out simultaneously.

Hey Dan, good to hear from you. Phil has just started working on the new book, so it should be all done by the end of April. Have you checked out the first book in the Dan Deadman series yet? If not, let me know and I’ll send you over a code to get it for free.
Didnt know the detective had his own book. I cant wait to hear it, he reminded me of the old simpsons episode where the asian mafia was after homer and there was a huge fight on the front lawn. Homer didnt want to run because there was a man dressed in white just sitting there. He said something like i just know he’s going to do something cool and just as marge closed the curtain he heard a crazy amount of fighting then silence. He said awww, i knew it! Thats what the bar fight scene made me think of, great writing because you just knew this guy was at a higher level than everyone else and everyone knew it. Id appreciate a code, thank you for writing. I love when i find something new on Audible. My last 2 big finds were andy weir and ernest cline. Lets hope the luck comes in 3’s and at least 1 movie is the result. Both of those guys are nowhere near as quick at releases so their material takes soo.. long to come out. I couldnt believe how fast your books were released. Thanks again, keep it coming, we love your work!

Any time frame for Space Team books 10, 11, and 12 to be on audible? I am starting to have fonking Space Team withdrawals.
Book 10 is in production right now, so expect it in March, with the other two following soon after. 🙂

Barry as a writer myself I just want to say you Fonking rule buddy…. Theres not been many writers other than T. Pratchett (god rest his soul) and Douglas Adams (as well R.I.P.), that I have followed and enjoyed with such ferocity and pleasure…. Everything you do whether Space Team, Dan Deadman, Side Kicks Initiative and even the kids books are far beyond that of the humorous writing genre. I will continue to follow and read if you will continue to put that ink to paper. Im really needing my fix already after finishing Space team # 10 via audiobook and am highly anticipating the next 2 books (After starting from the beginning I can’t read it without hearing the voices lol)…. Please let me know when book 11 is out bro!!! Keep it up and let spurt take the fonking wheel!!!!
