I’m currently plotting out the fifth Space Team book, but am struggling to nail down the title. I’m hoping you can help, either by choosing the title you like best from the selection below, or by leaving a comment with a title suggestion of your own. If you do come up with something original and I use it, I will, of course, credit you in the book, send you a free paperback, and other good stuff.
All I can really tell you at this stage, plot-wise, is that the team finds itself caught up in the Zertex/Symmorium war and may even find themselves fighting on different sides of that battle…

Barry,
– It’s all “geek” to me
– Schizznods and Boomsticks
etc etc
Don’t know the storyline for this one, so just throwing in a few from the context clues.
Here are my three suggestions for the new Space Team book:
Space Oddity
or
In space no one can hear you shizz
or
As welcome as a fart in a space suit
Hi Barry, just wanted to say how much I enjoy your books, they are just fantastic! Your latest novel (which I’ve almost finished) has had me laughing all the way – I just love Kevin and hope he continues to be part of the team.
Thank you for entertaining us and long may the series continue.
Chris
Thanks, Chris. Rest assured, Kevin is now a full member of the team, and will be back in the next book. 🙂
Title suggestion for the fifth book
– Peace of Mind
– Teamspirit
– The glamours rise and fall of Kezuup
– Not on the agenda
what about a hitchiker guide related title.
Oh no not again.
I wonder if they will be friends with us.
Whose Side Are We On Again???
How about “Blood, Toil, Tears and Splurt”?
(Needless to mention, but I’m the kind of pedant who mentions needlessly: http://www.winstonchurchill.org/resources/speeches/1940-the-finest-hour/blood-toil-tears-and-sweat).
Thanks for your books!
I always had a soft spot of “Into the Void”
Barry,
The “Let Slip the Dorks of War” is some funny shizz, but I know you can do better.
May I humbly suggest:
“We Need You” with subtitle “Space Team Goes to War” with a clever variation of the Uncle Sam pointing at viewer poster from back in the day.
Space Team and The Great Divide
Working on the team being on different sides, how about :
“A Split Difference”
A schplurt apart (but spell schplurt better) I like how the word rolls from the back of your mouth
The Battlefield
How about “War of the Nerds”? Or Space Team: UnCivil War?
How about: “Who’s war is this anyway?”
That is very good. I would have vited for that. It is a little light hearted.
Hi Barry,
Going off your title option, “Welcome to the Warzone” and knowing from your last book that the team members have reasons for choosing both sides, how about “A War Among Us” with a subtitle of “Will the Team Survive?” depending on how you want the story to go.
Interesting…
“A Family at War”
How about The Unwanted Split, or A Team Divided
Hi Barry
Although i voted for ‘Welcome to the Warzone’ i have to admit i am not sure on the titles suggested.
However following up on the previous star trek reference in ‘The Search for Splurt’, how about retaining the geek and mirroring Star Trek V for your 5th Space Team book with ‘The Final Fonk Scare’ or similar. With over 10 Star Trek films, so far, you will have plenty of follow up titles.
Enjoyed the last 4 keep them coming,
Thanks for the entertainment.
“The Trouble with Spit Nibbles” :p
-Family Feud
-Into the Fray
-Tug of War
-Space Fracas
-Bone of Contention
-The Trouble with Unity
-Operation Cooperation
How about, ” War spelled back-words is RAW”
Mech is this a Space war?
Can I vote for Angela’s answer: “A War Among Us” with a subtitle of “Will the Team Survive?” I like it much better than your 3 options.
How about:
Three Sides to Every Coin
Love your work, sir! It inspired my first book review on Amazon!
Hey Barry,
How about Space War, A Space Team United
But as usual I like yours too!
What about Difference of Opinion or Enemies Among Us?
Fighting on both sides?
How about “A Fistful of Credits”?
Loving your work by the way Barry. When will the other books be on Audible? It’s the only time i get to “read”.
Hey Carl!
Book two will be on Audible by June, all being well, with book three following pretty close behind. 🙂
Let Slip the Dorks of War is a terrible title for a book, please don’t call it that,
‘The Shizz Hits the Fan’
That isn’t much better, but hey, it does have the word shizz in it.
It occurred to me last night that the obvious title has been staring me in the face the whole time. It is none of the options I’ve given, or anything suggested by anyone. All it took was one tiny tweak to the name of a food establishment that appears in the book for it to work. I shall reveal all sooooon…
I know this is like a really old thread or something, but I’ve kinda just discovered your books and I like them….. Like really like them!
Yeah, way too late for the name a book thingy but just want to put this one out there.
‘Spaceteam – Made the temple go BOOM!’
