After chatting to some other authors about how they encourage readers of their first book to carry on with the series, I’ve added a short epilogue to the end of the first Space Team book. Space Team was originally intended as a standalone novel, but I was having too much fun to stop, so immediately started on the second book. Because it was a standalone, though, there was nothing to really suggest a sequel was coming, hence the Epilogue.
If you’ve already read the book, feel free to download and read the Epilogue now. If you haven’t read it, then what are you doing messing around here? Go get it now, and you should find the Epilogue already in place at the end.
For existing readers, though, you can read the PDF version below.
Loved the epilogue.
Loved the epilogue. Absolutely Great!
Any idea when/or if the other books in the series will be made into audible books?
Hey Steve. Yes! Book two is in production and should be out at the end of this month, then book three is going into production immediately afterwards, so expect August for that one. 🙂
Fun Epilogue, though having recently bought a “package deal” of the first three books, I just naturally went from the first right into the second, even without the Epilogue.
I just started the third book last night, and purchased four and five today (since we have a week-long vacation coming up next week, and reading just goes wonderfully with vacation).
Hey Rick. Thanks for that – hope you enjoy them! Enjoy your vacation 🙂
I have first 3 of Space Team (read and reviewed), Pew Pew which I am currently reading. I will get next books from Space Team with next paycheck! Your writing is refreshingly funny, adventurous, and wholly delightful
Thanks for your kind words and support, Teri – really appreciate it.
Okay, so I’m like, you know, absolutely amazed (but not at all disappointed, as my job sucks) that I missed two full days of work and nights of sleep just because I wanted to know if Cal and Miz, (or Cal and Loren, or Loren and Mech, or Splort and Splort) ever work out the obvious sexual tension.
Just finished what I really thought was going to be one of those, you know, kinda cheesy stories that you find when you’ve read everything else and then it’s Saturday morning and I gotta call the boss and say oops, missed work ’cause I was improving my intellectual well-being with a box set of “Space Team”. Of course, he has no sense of just how important it is to know these things, but was kind enough to give me a little more time off. Ok, maybe a lot of time off. Okay, so that was just wishful thinking.
Anyway, I just wanted to drop a quick note and say that in 30 or so years of reading, nay, devouring all types of sci-fi, I think I have a new favorite author. Thanks so much for the pleasant surprise.
Kevin, you’re an absolute legend, and I’ll Captain-Kirk-flying-kick the shizz out of anyone who dares to say otherwise. Thanks for jumping aboard. It’s a pleasure to have you on the team.
If you have a spare minute, and haven’t done so already, it’d be amazing if you could leave a review on Amazon. 🙂
By the way, how does spell check change “Splurt” to “Splort”?
Because spell check was invented by Zertex, and Zertex is evil.
Ok, I’ve just finished Return of the Dead Guy….
In the last week, I’ve read the entire series….
I’m now in trouble, I’ve run out of reading material, before I go on holiday…. shizzzzz !!
I’ve enjoyed these books so much, laughed so wildly, I’ve boo’d when Sinclair turns up, and cheered once his devilish plan is thwarted, I even find myself bracing myself when Loren crashes, err I mean lands….
Just Brilliant…..
How long till Planet of the Japes is realised please !!!,
Hey Derek! Thanks for your comment, they’ve made my night (just before I head to bed, too).
Planet of the Japes won’t be out until November, I’m afraid, but the first Space Team spin-off, featuring Dan Deadman, Space Detective, will be published in August. Hopefully that’ll fill the void until Space Team return.
AAAAAaaaa….
I have listened to all the Space Team books in Audible format so far. Audible Doesn’t have Planet of the Japes. Yet(?)
Are there plans to have that recorded any time soon? I’ll just wither away ’til then.
Thanks for the best series I’ve read in a looong time.
Just finished Return of the Dead Guy. Wow! This series just gets better and better. Will there be an Audible version of Planet of the Japes? I’ve got the hard copies and the Audible copies of all the book so far. Can’t wait for the next one.
Hey Darrin. Thanks so much for your support. Really glad to hear you’re enjoying the books. Yes, they’ll all be coming to audio. Phil is doing the books in release order, so it’s “Dial D for Deadman” up first, but we’ll be at Planet of the Japes soon!
I found these books while waiting for the next Expeditionary Force books, and I’m so glad I did. This is Guardians of the galaxy on Crack!
So funny and the Narrator on the audible version is spot on.
Thank you for the stories.
Wow just finish all the Audiable books to date and I love them all. But the Space team has been pushing hard. Sounds like it might be time for an Alien Vacation.
Finished reading all 9 Space Team books. Just about to start reading Dan Deadman book 2. Reread book one Space Team but got lazy so down loaded books 2-4 in audible and wow, listen to these while I am walking the dogs and their walks have just doubled in length. Best books I have ever read, (or listened to), no joke, and I mean of any genre. I have never laughed out loud so much to any books, ever! Please please tell me there will be some more Space Team books. I love Dan Deadman books, and they are a great stopgap, but 2-3 Space team a year until I die would be nice
Hey John. Thanks for reading and listening! Phil’s narration on the audio versions take the books to a whole new level, I think. He’s an insanely talented guy.
I can’t guarantee 2-3 until death, but I CAN guarantee at least 3 more, and probably more. You should also check out my new book, “The Sidekicks Initiative” if you haven’t already. 🙂
Firstly, thanks for the response, kinda feel quite honoured. Currently reading ‘The Sidekicks Initiative’, favourite character so far is definitely Randy Rabble, The Butterfly King bless him. Finally, really good news about Space Team. At the moment I have all of your books on my Kindle but I am seriously considering getting them in book form in the future. Oh, and totally agree about Phil’s narration, listening to The Search for Splurt at the moment. Continue the good work young man and thanks again.
My new years resolution was to get back into reading. I bought a new kindle and bought the first 3 book set from Amazon and I am having a blast. I almost forgot how fun it can be to get lost in a good book. I just finished book 3 last night and bought the next 3 and going to get started on those tonight. Reading these books brought back memories of the first time I read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and the first time I read any of the books in the Disc World series. I can’t wait to read the whole series of Space Team.
This page scared the shizz out of me. I am currently listening to book 7 and thought by this comment that you were ending the series. PLEASE DON’T! I love Space Team, I haven’t enjoyed a series of books this much since Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. Keep ’em coming!
When is your next book in this series being released?
